Every one of us has a need for a tripod at some time or another regardless of what the photograph is that your taking. There is such an array on the market (with a similar varying price range) that it can be a bit daunting on deciding which tripod to go for that is both robust and versatile to suit your requirements.

If you are looking for a good quality compact tripod then you cannot go wrong with the KF TM2515T compact tripod by Kent Faith. Initial impressions upon opening the box when it arrived were good. As with all the KF range of tripods it arrives in a good sturdy packaged box with its own carry bag.

The construction and build quality of the tripod is the usual good quality you would expect from K&F. A lot of thought has gone into the design and functionality by the KF designers. Made from aluminium and magnesium alloy allowing it to be light and versatile. It’s black design with red accents really gives it a good look.

When folded down the tripod measures just 15″ with its five leg sections that collapse into each other with a twist lock mechanism giving a good compact sturdy feel and when fully extended stands 60″ suitable for the tallest of us.

The tripod can be set to various heights as can the monopod feature being versatile enough for all of your event requirements. A quick breakdown of the main features can be seen as follows:

The quick release plate is similar to our other K&F tripods we use with its thumb screw mechanism. Some other handy features is the ability to rotate the centre column 90 degree for top down shooting, perfect for those food and jewellery photos.

We tried the tripod with a Canon 5D and a 100mm marco lens and it was great for those low angle, close up marco photography shots. The camera was sturdy and not slipping as you get with some tripods. When fully extended the tripod was sturdy and balanced whilst rotating the camera a full 360°.

All in all this tripod has become our favourite with its compactness, it fits perfectly onto the side of the K&F Multi-functionall Large DSLR Camera Backpack. It has a great range of features and is of a good build quality all for a great low price compared to similar level tripods.
